1. Happy Birthday to you! Panera turns 5-years-old!

The Panera Bread, located at , will celebrate its five birthday today by thanking those who make their business possible, their customers. To help toast to their birthday, the first five customers at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. who also have birthdays on June 2 will receive a special birthday surprise. 

2. It's graduation season!

5. Seniors ride free no more.

State officials announced Wednesday that most seniors will no longer be allowed to ride the Metra, Pace or CTA for free after Sept. 1. 

Seniors that qualify for free rides—it is estimated that about 25,000 of the more than 440,000 seniors in the state will qualify—will be issued replacement permits.

According to a Chicago Tribune report, only seniors that qualify for the Illinois Department on Aging Circuit Breaker program will be eligible for free rides.

To qualify, the report said, a single senior would have to have an annual income of $27,610 or less. A household of two would have to have an annual income of less than $36,635. For households of three or more, the annual income would have to be $45,657 or less.
