1. Usher in Summer With SommerBrau at Gordon Biersch
Just in time for the first day of summer, the , located inside , is unveiling its newest hoppy creation—the SommerBrau.
The popular Bolingbrook eatery will be tapping the golden, refreshing Kolsch-style beer from Cologne, with just a hint of fruitiness this evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

While there, you can enjoy a party in the Bier Garden, a live DJ, bags, a beer tent, VeeV Acai Spirits Tent, gift giveaways and more. The restaurant will also feature a special SommerBrau menu, available today through July 31. The menu will feature inspired Caribbean favorites like coconut shrimp; lobster, crab and shrimp salad' Jamaican kobe burger; and Gordon Biersch's signature banana split.
2. He Who Shall Not Be Named Shall Be Viewed ... For Three Days

To celebrate the release of the final installment of the Harry Potter series—Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II—the will host a Harry Potter Movie Marathon for all the movies fanatics.
The three-day event begins July 12 and runs through July 15. The library will show two movies per day.
The library says this event is for kids 13-years-of-age and up. For more information call, Rozie Brown at 630-685-4176.
