Have you driven by lately and wondered what the heck construction crews are working in the space next door? 

According to building permits, it's soon-to-be the next location for Ross Dress for Less, a department store where you can find designer and brand name fashions for women, men, kids and home at everyday savings of 20 to 60 percent compared to department and specialty stores.

Mayor Roger Claar announced the store would be coming to Bolingbrook during his State of the Village address in January, but crews began working on the site just a few weeks ago.

5. Theater on the Hill to Debut New Production This Week

Noted for lavish outdoor summer musical productions and more intimate, eclectic and challenging works during the cooler months, Bolingbrook's Theatre-on-the-Hill once again raises the bar for regional theater.

The company's current production, Meredith Willson's The Music Man, promises to deliver a toe tapping, heartwarming, larger-than-life portrait of life and love in 1912 rural America. Presented at Bolingbrook's state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, the show will run weekends from July 1-17.

The Music Man runs from July 1 through July 17, at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Rd.. Friday and Saturday shows start at 8:30 p.m.; Sunday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors.
