1. Get Hands on With Honey

Get hands-on with the honey this Friday at . Our bee keeper will be on site from 3:00-5:00 pm to explain the hives, extract fresh honey and provide tasty samples. A great opportunity to see local honey harvesting in action. Free, no registration required.

2. Farmers Market is Today!

Looking for a great family-friendly event that will be sure to be fun for all? Try  Thursday night schedule, which includes its weekly .

The farmers market starts at 4 p.m. and is held in the parking lot outside the  storefront.

3. Trojan Hockey Holding Open Skate for Prospective Players

The Trojan hockey team, which has players from , Lemont High School, Downers Grove South High School and Romeoville High School, will hold an open skate today from 8:20 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. at the Darien Sportsplex, located at 451 Plainfield Rd. in Darien.

Another open skate is planned for Sept. 6.

Full equipment is requested.
