Flood Watch in Effect for Bolingbrook through Friday
Four inches of rain could fall on the Bolingbrook area between 1 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
A flood watch is in effect for the Bolingbrook area until Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The heaviest rains are expected Wednesday through Thursday night. About 4 inches total are expected.
Heavy rainfall will likely lead to flooding of low lying areas and could exceed the capacity of storm drains, leading to flooding in suburban areas. Streams and rivers could rise to moderate or major flood stage.

Royce Road will closed last month at Greene Road and at Concord Lane due to river flooding, according to the Bolingbrook police Twitter account.
