Friendship United Methodist Youth to Fast for 30 Hours
Friendship United Methodist Youth will participate in a 30-hour famine to bring awareness to hunger and poverty.
Teens at Friendship United Methodist Church will fast for 30 hours this weekend to bring awareness to hunger and poverty.
The students will begin fasting following their lunch period Friday at school. The teens will then arrive at Friendship Church at 6 p.m. to participate in educational and survival challenges that will "have students racing to beat hunger and poverty."
FUMC will also collect food from its neighbors to donate to a local FISH organization.

The church will set up a Labyrinth experience in the Prayer Chapel after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. A pot luck will start at 6 p.m. Saturday.
