Police Blotter: Monitors Swiped from Shipping Container, Explorer Stolen from Driveway

Also: Twenty-nine-year-old Eddie Lewis Cole booked on charge of possession of a controlled substance, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.

The following incidents were reported by the Bolingbrook Police Department and the Will County Sheriff’s office:

Sept. 30: Eddie Lewis Cole, 29, 3 N. Fernwood Drive, Bolingbrook, was booked by Will County Sheriff’s police on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Sept. 20: Officers responded to the 1400 block of W. Boughton Road for the report of criminal damage to property. Suspect broke a residence window at 11:07 p.m.

Sept. 20: Officers were called to the 100 block of E. South Frontage Road for the report of a burglary to motor vehicle. Unknown subjects took 30-40 monitors from a shipping container between 6-6:05 a.m. Loss valued at $4,300.

Sept. 20: Officers responded to a parking lot on the 700 block of E. Boughton Road for the report of criminal damage to vehicle at 5:55 p.m.

Sept. 20: William Vargas, 20, 268 Braemar Glen, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive, at 4:17 p.m. Loss valued at $2,400.

Sept. 21: An iPhone 5 was taken from a purse while the victim was shopping on the 200 block of S. Weber Road between 4-5 p.m.

Sept. 21: Officers were called to the 400 block of Colony Court for the report of criminal damage to property. A glass window was shattered at 7:15 p.m.

Sept. 21: A 2002 Ford Explorer was taken from a driveway on the 700 block of Hartford Lane between 2-6:20 a.m.

Sept. 21: Terry James, 19, 521 King Arthur Way, was charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer at Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Road, at 9:35 p.m.

Sept. 21: Nicholas Marquardt, 34, 1067 Bothwell Circle, was charged with burglary, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and false fire alarm after removing fire extinguishers from the business, pulling fire alarms and removing pictures from the walls at 10:33 p.m.

Sept. 21: Diego Vides, 25, 8621 S. Massasoit St., Burbank, was charged with driving on a suspended license, muffler violation and possession of cannabis following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Lane & Bolingbrook Drive at 3:40 a.m.

Sept. 21: George Philips, 54, 8316 Oak Loop Drive, Woodridge, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault after the victim was punched in the face on the 200 block of Riverside Drive at 11:59 p.m.

Sept. 21: Devon Hamilton, 18, 521 King Arthur Way, was charged with retail theft on 09/09 at Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Road.
