Chivas is the best. Oscar knows soccer. He is a nice guy on and off the field.
Alejandra July 23, 2012 at 05:11 PM
I think I know that lady coach. I think She once coached the Chivas girls team and was asked to leave the club. None of the parents liked her.

Panther Sports Club

Maybe this all points out that these sports clubs should have someone maintaining professional websites that include more transparency to financials - not just vague blanket statements. Are there association meetings? Are the meeting notes published online? I think transparency is key, as well as consistent leaders of the association(s).

We discovered Panthers Sports Club by chance and our daughter has loved it. When your kid runs to you when you get home and hands you a glove to practice with her, you know the coaches are doing the right things. They make practices fun and productive. Parents are parents, but she's learned a ton that could prepare her well for tougher competition in older leagues.

To all parents, coaches, league board members, etc. All of these are fine leagues based on their efforts alone to run volunteer organizations without the intent to profit from or exploit our youth. In every organization you will find people that are out to profit or take advantage. There are simply bad and stupid people everywhere. You wil also find those parents that just don't like any coach or that never volunteer to see just how hard it really is. What our hope is at Panthers is to weed out those people and keep as clean of an organization as possible to serve the girls and their families well. I personally hope to have taken the best attributes that I picked up as a member of the Tee-Ball Association and brought them to Panthers Fast Pitch Softball. Our goal in youth sports is not just to develop atheletes, but to develop young minds and bodies to be phsically and mentally fit, to work together as a team, to make lasting relationships and to HAVE FUN! Play to win the game of course, that is the inherent goal of any sport, game, etc. But if we don't learn more than that along the way we are just wasting our time. Go Panthers! Go Bolingbrook! Go Kids!!!

Soccer would do better if they had a playoff games like the rest of the organizations from Junior level on wards

BYBL is a fantastic organization. My son has played in the inhouse league and now plays on a Rampage travel team. They are even expanding the travel program this year with tryouts set to start next week if you desire even more baseball! Great people that run the league and volunteer to coach. BYBL is the BEST!

I heard that the BSC uses the private property adjacent to the soccer fields for parking during their Labor Day Tournament, unbeknownst to the out of town property owner and without permission. That sounds pretty crooked to me, especially if they are making a profit. The BSC directors sport patches that say "We honor the game". How about you honor thy neighbor.

Panther Mom 5:31 pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 I heard that the BSC uses the private property adjacent to the soccer fields for parking during their Labor Day Tournament, unbeknownst to the out of town property owner and without permission. Not only is it trespassing, but who would be covering the insurance if there was an accident on the property? Would someone from the BSC or Bolingbrook Park District please address these concerns.

Nice to see BYBL support! Its the volunteers and active families that make BYBL and all these programs successful!

All of the negative comments about the Bolingbrook Soccer Club makes me wonder who is in charge there. Calls for audits, bad coaches, bad uniform vendors, crazy parents and trespassing on private property is drama that I don't want any part of. Sad. :(

Are the directors at Bolingbrook Soccer voted into office? I read they are all volunteers or is that just the coaches? Some of the things I read on this board about the club are alarming, I only hope they are not true.
Jill August 21, 2012 at 05:32 PM
@Diane All of what you read about the BSC is true. It's ugly but true. It would be wise to stay clear of this organization. Unnecessary uniform purchases, unstable coaches & parents, no transparency and the use of private property without permission from the owner for the BSC soccer tournament.

My children have been involved in BSC for years, this year is the first we're involved with the traveling team. Frankly i have found the coaches to answer any question i've asked - and I do tend to ask lots of questions. i have watched their dedication at practices and have absolutely no complaints. Any questions regarding fees I've asked BEFORE signing up my children, and they've provided all clarifications I've asked. I don't know why there is such animosity about the organization - i have not experienced it at all. All the parents on the team act as a family. we're having a great time with this organization. I haven't been part of the annual soccer tournaments, but I would bet that if private property is being used year after year, that the property owners are aware of it. But again if anyone has issues with the use of that property, I would assume they would notify the BSC board and ask for clarifications. I personally don't have any real issue on that front to care enough to ask.

I sent an email to the Bolingbrook Directors and Park District authorities 2 weeks ago with concerns about property insurance and possible trespassing and never received a reply. I think I'll try again and and CC the Mayor and property owner. I live across the street from the fields and have had trouble with the parking issues during the tournament. The tournament is during the Labor Day weekend and inviting some guests over for a BBQ is nearly impossible because there is no place to park. The overflow parking from the tournament takes up all of the street parking in my neighborhood. I have tried to work with the BSC and BPD on this issue, but it goes nowhere. Parking should be in predesignated and authorized areas only! Have your tournament, but please respect your neighbors. I try to be a good neighbor and I have no qu

Thank you for being honest
Concerned BB Resident August 22, 2012 at 01:13 AM
They are all volunteers and voted in to their positions. These comments from others have are fiction.
Concerned BB Resident August 22, 2012 at 01:14 AM
Honestly. Worry about yourself.
Concerned BB Resident August 22, 2012 at 01:16 AM
Yes it is. A few frustrated individuals trying to bad mouth a program that many BB girls & boys have enjoyed for over 30 years.
Concerned BB Resident August 22, 2012 at 01:19 AM
I agree. Those that complain are usually those that never volunteer. First to criticize and last to hlep. My daughter also had fun in Panthers, Tee Ball and Soccer.
Bolingbrook Resident August 30, 2012 at 04:23 PM
Just a quick update to the parking issue: Ron Oestreich the Executive Director of the BPD, emailed me that his team contacted the BSC tournament directors on 8/8 and informed them that the land East of the concession stands is private property and not to use the field. The BSC tournament directors replied that they will not use this land for parking. The Park District will be installing snow fence along our property line to further insure that the field is not being used. That will be their practice moving forward during larger soccer tournaments. This does protect our neighbors land, as well as the District and Soccer club from liability should something occur. It angers me that the BSC tournament directors jeopardized the park district and trespassed on neighbors property the previous years. Someone previously questioned the integrity of BSC tournament Directors, I'm beginning to agree.
