Something for Everyone on Back-To-School Night at B.J. Ward

Teachers will meet-and-greet parents, ice cream will be served by PTO and there will be a book fair in the library on Back-to-School night at B.J. Ward Elementary School.

A couple of brief town hall meetings, a book fair in the library and an ice cream social.

Bolingbrook’s B.J. Ward Elementary School is going to be a happening place on Tuesday (Aug. 27), according to a news release issued by Valley View School District communications director Larry Randa.

Randa said principal Ted Warpinski and assistant principal Susan Padilla will conduct town hall meetings from 5:45 to 6 p.m. and again from 7:15 to 7:30 p.m. as part of “Back-to-School Night” activities. After both meetings are finished, teachers will be available to meet-and-greet parents in their classrooms from 6:05 to 6:25 p.m. and again from 7:35 to 8 p.m.

Randa said movies will be available for students and siblings in Room 144 during the time reserved for parent/teachers talks. In between all of the activities, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., he said the B.J. Ward PTO will hold an ice cream social in the cafeteria and there will be a book fair in the library.
