The Friday Food Critic: The Patio BBQ Ribs

Each week we nominate a new restaurant for you to review. That's right, you're the local expert.

When it comes to restaurants, Bolingbrook has it covered.

We have some great local places that many would consider community gems; we have some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area; and we certainly—for better or for worse—have plenty of chains lining our main streets.

But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not.

That's where you come in.

We're not egotistical enough to tell you what restaurants you do and don't like. It's your community. You eat the food. You tell us if it passes the mark.

That's why we run , where each week, we put a different restaurant on the chopping block. You tell us how you feel about it, what dishes are good, who has the best drink specials and so forth.

This week we ask your opinion on a great place to grab an order of BBQ baby-back pork ribs: The Patio BBQ Ribs.

It's cold outside, but get a seat by the fireplace and sit back and enjoy some tangy sauce. If you're short on time, you can zip through the drive-through and take food home to enjoy.

To review The Patio, simply click on their name (or The Patio BBQ Ribs). You'll be directed toward their community listing in our business directory, where you can rate them on a five-star system and write a personal review.

At Bolingbrook Patch, we believe your words of wisdom are better than any food critic.

What are you waiting for? Let the reviewing begin!

About this column: If there's one thing Bolingbrook's not short on, it's places to find some grub. Each week, we'll open up the book on one of Bolingbrook's dozens of restaurants so you, the reader, can tell us what it's really like.

My wife and I eat at The Patio a couple times a month.Meals are always good but the rib-eye sandwich at times is a bit too chewy (gives my jaw a good workout though). We miss the great tasting tortilla soup that used to be on the menu. Recently I switched from fries with my meal to grilled vegetables; both are great tasting but the vegetables are, of course, healthier (Yes dear.)

The Patio is a great place for a variety of food! Especially like their soups & sammies. Even better, though, is the fact that you can spend time w/ family & friends...Never feel rushed there because it is so spacious! TY, too, for the recent fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus from St. Francis, Bolingbrook. The Patio GIVES BACK to our community!
