Rotating Cloud in Bolingbrook Looked like 'Slow Moving Toilet Bowl'

Bolingbrook residents reported seeing an "almost funnel cloud" during Monday night's storms.

The National Weather Service has recorded winds of 70 mph in Bolingbrook at 5:40 p.m. Monday night. A line of severe thunderstorms passing through the area also had a strong rotation, the NWS reported.

Debbie Peterson Garcia posted this video on the Bolingbrook Patch Facebook page around 8 p.m. of a "funnel trying to form right over (her) house."

"it was disturbing...wish rotation showed better in this video...it was like a slow moving toilet bowl and a knob in the middle that kept trying to inch down...as soon as I lost view in this video the Bolingbrook sirens sounded and we went to the basement...never seen rotation like that so close...didn't like it!"
