Valley View Education Foundation 17th Annual Dinner and Auctions

Do you want to help inspire a child to greater achievement and enable a better educational experience? Your effort and financial support will help the grant applicants (teachers and others from Valley View School District 365-U) who are requesting over $110,000 for 90 programs in the 2011-2012 school year from the Valley View Educational Enrichment Foundation. The Foundation, in active service to Bolingbrook and Romeoville since 1994, changes the theme of their annual dinner and auctions each year. This year, the Foundation is matching 17 years of service with a "Lucky 17" Irish-themed event complete with Corned Beef and Cabbage and Irish dancers on Friday, March 18 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Find your best Irish attire and join hundreds of others who support children and education.

Local businesses and individuals have donated items which will be available to bid on throughout the evening. Along with great food and entertainment, you will hear of the inspirational programs designed by the grant applicants and the positive impact it has on students and the community.

Since its inception, the Foundation has been able to fund 649 unique programs requesting over $970,000. Programs cover the entire span of the educational experience and reach above and beyond the available curriculum. The entire student population at all grade levels benefit from most programs while many programs focus on the at-risk population to enable them to improve their skills.

Education has been brought into more focus recently on the national and world stage. Your support of these innovators who create and deliver these programs in addition to their regular classroom duties shows you care deeply about our children and the community.

Are you unable to be at the event? The Foundation accepts donations on their web site or through the mail. Do you wish to donate an auction item for the event? Those are wonderful as well and are a great way to advertise your business. After all, who doesn’t want to support children?
