Monmouth College senior linebacker Bryan Mesik, a Bolingbrook High School graduate, may be continuing his season beyond the next two weeks after receiving an invitation to play in an all-star game.

Mesik – who leads the Scots with 54 total tackles – has received an invitation to play in this year's D3 Senior Classic slated for Dec. 13 in Salem, Va. The senior also leads the team with 40 solo stops and is fifth in tackles for loss.

A biology major, Mesik is the son of Bill and Geri Mesik.

Division III seniors nationwide were selected to participate based on their performance during their senior year. The game, presented by the Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL), will give pro scouts a chance to size up small school talent as the nation's best Division III seniors battle in a head-to-head North vs. South contest. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Central time at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va.
