Bolingbrook's Jonathan Slowik Places 3rd in Vocal Ensemble Competition
Student will be honored for award-winning composition "Of That Sweet Imprisonment" on Jan. 25 at ceremony in Peoria.

Bolingbrook High School’s Jonathan Slowik earned a third place in the vocal ensemble category at the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State composition competition.
Bolingbrook High School’s Jonathan Slowik earned a third place in the vocal ensemble category at the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State composition competition.
He received the award for his composition “Of That Sweet Imprisonment.”
A Woodstock High School student and student from Evanston Township High School finished first and second.
In all, 42 students received awards in 14 categories. Slowik and the other winners will be honored on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Marriott Pere Marquette Hotel in Peoria.
