'Giving Tree' Illuminates Spirit of Season at Bolingbrook Elementary School

B.J. Ward staff members and families are participating in a program to provide gifts for children who might not otherwise receive them this holiday season.

The gift-of-giving spirit is alive and well at Bolingbrook's B.J. Ward Elementary School.

And the proof is hanging for all to see on the school's "Giving Tree."

B.J. Ward Principal Ted Warpinski and social worker Nicole Tulo were photographed checking out the paper ornaments on the tree earlier this week. Each ornament represents a gift for a B.J. Ward child who may not otherwise receive any gifts this holiday season, according to a Valley View School District news release.

The list of "Giving Tree" participants includes B.J. Ward staff members and families, Follett Educational Services, Golden Gate Foods and Just Transpo.

Community members who would like to participate/donate are welcome to contact the school for more information (630) 972-9200, according to the Valley View School District news release.
