Reason to Celebrate: Bolingbrook Volleyball Cancer Marathon a Big Hit
Raiders raise funds for pediatric cancer research at Lurie Children's Hospital.
Drum roll, please.
How much did members of the Bolingbrook High School volleyball team raise in a Nov. 9 marathon for pediatric cancer at Lurie Children's Hospital?
The final count came in at $1,460, according to a Valley View School District news release.
The cause was dear to the heart of Raiders freshman coach Matthew Patton, who watched his sister, Casey, wage a courageous battle to beat cancer.
