JJC Offering a Selection of Inexpensive Holiday Entertainment

If you're looking for holiday entertainment, Joliet Junior College is offering two more options—the Carols and Chocolate concert and MadriGala 2013.

Joliet Junior College's upcoming holiday-related entertainment is easy on the wallet but guaranteed to set the mood of the season. These two events will be presented in the Fine Arts Theatre, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet.

"Carols and Chocolate" JJC Chorale holiday concert, 3 p.m. Dec. 8:

A variety of music will be performed, including “A Ceremony of Carols” by Benjamin Britten, featuring guest harpist Nicole Luchs, a music faculty member at North Central College in Naperville. A buffet table of chocolates will be served after the concert. 

Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and $2 for JJC students. Guests can purchase tickets at the Fine Arts Theatre Box Office one hour prior to the concert. 

"MadriGala 2013: Something Olde, Something Yule,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13:

Featuring the JJC Chamber Singers, brass quintet, and jesters, the program will feature "merry madrigals and carols, pageantry, dance and humor,” musical director Philip Spencer said. During the event, hors d’oeuvres and desserts will be served.

Tickets are $12 and must be purchased by Dec. 11; call 815-280-2200.
