Manley Wears Sneakers, Raises Awareness for Cancer Research

Promoting research like the CPS-3 study is vital in the continual fight against cancer.

State Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, showed her support for the American Cancer Society at the “Suits and Sneakers” event at the Illinois State Capitol. The event aimed to boost enrollment for the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), dedicated to better understanding the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that cause and prevent cancer.

“I applaud the American Cancer Society’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for those affected by cancer, and I was happy to help promote their efforts by joining many of my colleagues in wearing sneakers to work on the House floor,” Manley said. “Promoting research like the CPS-3 study is vital in the continual fight against cancer.”
