Kinetic Dance Company Wins Multiple Awards at Dupree Dance Competition

The Kinetic Dance Company (KDC), resident dance company at Dance Dimension Studio in Bolingbrook, won multiple awards at the Dupree Dance Competition this past weekend located at the Westin Hotel in Lombard.  

The Kinetic Dance Company won 3 special judge's awards including: "The Unique Award" for the dance performed by the senior members, 'Silent Voices'; The "Connected to Choreography Award" also went to a senior dance titled: 'Dead in the Water'; and finally, the "Great Visual Award" given to the dance performed by the junior members, 'Off the Rails'.

In addition, KDC won 3 silver awards, 4 gold awards, 7 platinum awards, and 4 diamond awards. One of the diamond awards went to the "Dad's Dance" who rocked out to the song, "Doctor, Doctor".

Other awards include: 
-2nd place solo/duo/trio beginner level: "Troublemaker"
-4th place solo/duo/trio advanced level: "Clarity" performed by Lexi Sells
-1st place solo/duo/trio advanced level: "Dead in the Water"
-2nd place group beginner level: "Off the Rails"
-1st place group beginner level: "From Where You Are"
-3rd place group advanced level: "Breath of Life"
-1st place group advanced level: "Silent Voices"

Senior dancer, Abby Cooper, also won a tap scholarship.  Mia Peterson, Abby Transon, Abby Cooper, Lexi Sells, and Samantha Winston were all scholarship finalists.
