Five Things to Know This Weekend: April 20-22

1. C'mon get crafty

Bolingbrook Women’s Club Spring Craft and Vendor Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the , 2001 Rodeo Drive, Bolingbrook. The second annual fair will have more than 30 vendors, a used book sale and entertainment.

2. Exercise your green thumb

The Bolingbrook Beautification Committee is hosting an Arbor Day celebration Saturday. The 13th annual tree planting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at , 201 Recreational Drive. Festivities will follow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lowe's parking lot, 245 Weber Road. Activities will include tree giveaways, planting advice, poster contest display, a clown, face painting, train rides, raffles, and free soda and hotdogs. 3. Paint a pot

Kids can celebrate Earth Day by decorating a plant pot at at 1 p.m. Saturday, 750 E Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook. Pots range in price from $.49-$2.99. Paint and decorations will be provided at no charge. For more information, click here.

4. Have a laugh

Bolingbrook’s acclaimed Theatre-on-the-Hill is hosting the production of 2009’s Pulitzer Prize winner for best new play, “God of Carnage.” This weekend's showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, at the , 375 W Briarcliff Road. Tickets are $12 for students and seniors, and  $15 for adults. Because all seats are general admission, attendees are encouraged to arrive a half hour in advance for best seating.

5. Child's play

Help the kick off the Week of the Young Child program, which kicks off Sunday and runs through Friday, April 27. The week will include free activities throughout the district, including Sunday's Tons of Trucks event and Kid's Vendor Fair at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Center, Wednesday's Dave's Traveling World of Reptiles at the Annerino Community Center, and an ice cream social next Friday at the BRAC.
