Facebook Fan Poll: What Do You Think of Donald Trump Not Running for President?

Get involved with Bolingbrook Patch by answering our question of the day on our site and on our Facebook page.

Welcome to our newest feature—our daily Facebook Fan Poll.

At Bolingbrook Patch, we value our readers' opinions very much—sometimes even more than our own. To that extent, we will toss up a new Facebook Fan Poll every day here on the site, and on our Facebook page, which you can access by clicking HERE

We'll have options to vote for on the Facebook page, much like any reader poll you see with other news outlets. But on the site, you'll be able to expand on your answer—go a bit more in-depth by telling us why you answered the way you did.

Regardless, this feature is designed to get you involved in as many different ways as we can. So if you have any suggestions on how we can improve this feature, let us know by dropping us an email at brianf@patch.com.

Today's Facebook Fan Poll

On Monday, Donald Trump announced he would not seek the presidency after months of speculation that he would run. What do you think of the news? Would you have voted for him? Or would you have given him a taste of his own medicine and said, "Donald, (long, dramatic pause) you're fired!"

Chime in below in the comments section!

I'm glad he's decided not to run. Before his "birther" rants, I really enjoyed Trump's Celebrity Apprentice. Once he started on Obama's birth certificate, and college education, it completely turned me off. Today, I avoid the show. Plus it didn't help that all the interesting players were "fired" - Ne Ne, Lisa Rhinna, Star Jones, and Gary Busey. (oops...got side tracked..)

Thank God Trump removed his name as a possible contender for a Republican nomination for US President. Our country would have been the butt of so many bad jokes. Obama has finally brought some dignity and intelligence back to that office.

I'm not really sure if Donald Trump is any more of a lunatic than some of the elected government officials now in office. However he definately is more openly crazy than most pols, who seem to attempt to at least attempt to appear normal in the public eye. What is wrong with this country, that I so dearly love, that we cannot get a majority of our officials to work together in a non-partison attempt to improve the lot of the working stiff. I admit I'm glad Trump is not going to be in the mix, but somehow we need to work together and get things moving in the right direction. We seem to constantly bicker between the parties who only want to gain the majority and thus the power, often times by making the sitting president look as bad as possible. This is just plain wrong, our presidents, from whichever party should be shown some respect and there should be some attempt try and allow him/her (some day) to lead. They need to stop trying to tear down the office of the president in an attempt to glorify their own parties Democrates and Republicans alike. We've endured this deep rift since Hamilton & Hancock, POTUS George Washington's cabinet members, tried to create a country according to their will instead of working together.

Stop writing under my name. I am Steve. I have a reputation to uphold. You are ruining it with all of your mispellings and inane ramblings.

Steve I'm sorry but I have been writing under Steve for some time now. I did try to notify Bolingbrook Patch of the fact that they had allowed two users to use the same tag - "Steve". I'm sorry you are so offended. I also don't like the idea of having to "Steve" users and don't always agree with your remarks. Until I get some sort of response from Bolingbrook Patch to my query I'm afraid I'm still Steve and have been for some 56 years. Shalom my friend.
