A workday was put together for Saturday, May 12, and over 30 volunteers arrived to clean up, paint and make repairs. What happened in between Monday and Saturday was remarkable! With our day camp program starting next month and an Open House on May 20, we needed extra help in order to be ready.
On behalf of the volunteers, staff and most of all, the boys, girls and families served by Camp Fire USA Illinois Prairie Council, we say thanks to those who made this potentially terrible week into one in which we felt valued and supported: ADT Security; ; ; ; ; Citgo (Lemont); EcoLab; Gamma Phi Beta; PolyOne; ; RR Donnelly; United Way of Will County; US Cellular; ; as well as the individuals and families who were part of our recovery. We know there are still others who will be making donations to help with expenses going forward and we say thanks to you too.
The cornerstone on the campground building reads 1956 and we are happy to have been a part of the Bolingbrook community since then and look forward to providing needed services for many years to come!
