Bolingbrook Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for moms and dads and their families right here in Bolingbrook.
Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, 24-hour pharmacies and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.
Today's topic: Fourth of July is right around the corner and boy do kids love those fireworks. Problem is, they're dangerous. And we've all heard stories of someone losing a hand or an eye.
In Bolingbrook, most fireworks are illegal, but folks still find a way to get their hands on them.
So we ask you, the parents: Should kids be allowed to light fireworks? And if so, what kind? Are sparklers OK? What about bottle rockets or firecrackers? What about the big stuff, like full-blown rockets?
How do you handle your kids and fireworks?
