Bolingbrook Patch invites you and your circle of friends to help build a community of support for moms and dads and their families right here in Bolingbrook.
Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, 24-hour pharmacies and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.
Have a question for Parents Talk? Send them to Editor Brian Feldt at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll put those questions up for discussion in the coming weeks.
So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation.
Today's topic: These days, it seems like every other family has the latest and greatest gaming system. And while gaming consoles offer great family entertainment if used correctly, there are certainly a fair share of video games out there that are violent, gory and by many folks' standards, immoral.
But kids will be kids and if their friends have the games, they need them too.
So we ask you, the parents: Should violent or gory video games be allowed in the house? Why or why not? And how do you talk to your youngster about it?
