1 Man Taken into Custody Following Brawl on North Pinecrest: Bolingbrook Police

Two suffer from non-life-threatening injuries following incident on Saturday morning in the 500 block of North Pinecrest in Bolingbrook.

A fight involving 6-7 subjects broke out in the 500 block of North Pinecrest early Saturday morning, two men were injured and another was taken into custody by Bolingbrook police, according to Lt. Mike Rompa.

Nicholas P. Weesies, 19, of 129 Galewood, Bolingbrook, was arrested after Bolingbrook police received a report of a male white subject trying to get into cars in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex, Rompa said.

"Officers responded to the area and observed the subject—later identified as Nicholas Wessies," Rompa said. "Upon seeing officers, (Weesies) fled inside a building and was apprehended shortly there after."

Rompa said Weesies was positively identified as being involved in the fight and also had and outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody, processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Rompa said neither of the two male victims injured in the fight—one age 28 and the other 29—were suffering from life-threatening injuries. He said one had a small puncture wound to his chest after begin stabbed. The other had a laceration on his chin.

Rompa said the incident occurred at 3 a.m. Saturday.
