2 Die in I-355 Crash Near Bolingbrook
Illinois State Police continue to investigate a car crash that shut down portions of I-355 for hours Saturday afternoon.

The two killed in the 3 p.m. two-vehicle crash April 27 on Interstate 355 have been identified as an elderly couple from Berwyn. The driver, 87-year-old Daniel Simone, and wife Dimple Simone, 90.
The couple was pronounced dead at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, 500 Remington Blvd. The Will County Coroner's Office has scheduled an autopsy for Daniel Simone on Monday. An external examination is all the coroner's office has planned for the body of Dimple Simone.

The Simones were headed north when their vehicle was hit, police said.

Two people are dead after a crash Saturday afternoon on northbound I-355 near Boughton Road, according to the Illinois State Police.
At about 3 p.m. a Toyota pickup truck crashed into the driver’s side door of another vehicle that was facing westward in a northbound lane, state police said.
The two dead people were identified as Daniel J. Simone and Dimple Simone. No address or age was given by state police.
The state police identified the driver of the other vehicle as Evan M. Collins. He was hospitalized, police said.
The accident closed portions of I-355 for more than three hours as police investigated the accident.
Further details such as who was in which car are still under investigation, according to the ISP.
