2 People Hospitalized After Bolingbrook Fire

The father of the homeowner and a Bolingbrook Fire Department Firefighter were both taken to the hospital.

When firefighters arrived at the home in the 200 block of Lee Lane in Bolingbrook, they knew someone was trapped inside.

"Neighbors were walking around and reported hearing someone yelling for help," Bolingbrook Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Graff said.

Firefighters got the man out of the building and he was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. His name, age and condition were not available Saturday.

In addition to the man, who is thought to be the father of the homeowner and not a resident of the home, a firefighter was also taken to the hospital with a rapid heartbeat. Further information on the firefighter was not available.

The fire at the ranch home caused between $125,000 and $150,000 and left the home uninhabitable, Graff said.
