$9,500 in Tools, LCD's and More Stolen from Company Car: Bolingbrook Police Department

The car theft took place between Jan. 10 and 11. More in the Bolingbrook police blotter of Jan. 11.

Jan. 11 

Company car broken into 

Officers were called to the 200 block of Remington Boulevard for the report of a theft, police said. Someone broke the lock and door handle to a ompany car and stole an IPass, vacuum, LCD screens and power tools between Jan. 10 and 11. The loss was valued at $9,500.

Cell phone stolen from backpack 

A cell phone was stolen from a backpack at 200 S. Lindsey Lane between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. while the victim was playing basketball, police said.

Wallet stolen from purse at Panera 

A wallet was stolen from a purse while the victim was having lunch at Panera, 1196 W. Boughton Rd., between 3 p.m. and 3:52 p.m., police said. 

Hit and run 

Victor Venegas, 22, 2339 143rd St., Dixmoore, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. and charged with no valid drivers license, too fast for conditions, and hit and run on the 400 block of Remington Boulevard, police said. 

Battery 

Leah Heard, 28, 601 Norton Ave., Joliet, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. and charged with battery on the 600 block of E. Boughton Road, police said. 

Tiller stolen from yard  

A Troy Built tiller was stolen from a yard on the 400 block of Devon Lane at 6 p.m., police said.
