House Fire Claims Bolingbrook Home

An afternoon house fire at a Bolingbrook home near the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Center caused no injuries but did significant damage the building, firefighters said.

Bolingbrook Fire Chief Dave Litton said nobody was inside the two-story home on the 800 block of Tamms Lane just before it caught fire around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The fire was believed to be started in the rear of house, Litton said. Flames were covering the home from ground to wall when firefighters arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, Litton said.
