A blog has been set up in Garcia’s honor here.

Rick Grossman, head coach of the Bolingbrook Fury 12U travel program of which Garcia’s daughter is a part, said the organization plans to cancel its second annual Texas Hold'em Fundraiser planned for this Saturday and is instead asking that people make a donation to the Garcia family.

The organization plans to donate the money to a fund established at the First Midwest Bank in Bolingbrook under the title "Efren Garcia Memorial Fund."
