Bolingbrook Blotter: Burglarized Vehicles, Shattered Windows, Theft Arrests

Shade Brown, 23, was charged with criminal damage to property at a business in the 200 block of W/S Frontage Road at 11:26 a.m., police said.

Aug. 22


Someone stole a GPS unit and stereo faceplate from a vehicle in the 200 block of Galewood Drive between Aug. 21 and 22. The loss is estimated at $200, police said.

A thief stole a purse and iPhone were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Pinecrest Road, police said.

Someone broke a window at a home in the 900 block of Westcott Drive with a pellet gun between Aug. 20 and 22, police said.

A laptop was stolen during a residential burglary in the 200 block of Dakota Court, police said.

Someone stole a Bluetooth headset and cash worth a total of $140 from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Langford Drive, police said. 

Someone broke the window at a home in the 400 block of Seminole Lane, according to police.

Kevin Rouser, 50, of the 1000 block of Allen Street, Joliet, was arrested at Walmart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., and charged with retail theft, police said.

Someone stole a wallet, credit cards and pair of sunglasses from a vehicle parked on Burr Oaks Court, police said.

Walter Jackson, 21, of the 100 block of Leclaire Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 4:46 p.m. Macy's, 645 E. Boughton Road, and charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer, according to police.

Police responded to a report of a retail theft in the 200 block of North Weber Road; an unknown person placed several power tools in a cart, left the store without paying and drove off at around 5:25 p.m., police said. The stolen items totaled $1,060, according to police.
