Bolingbrook Blotter: Garbage Can Set Ablaze; Man Fights with Store Employee, Steals Soda

Arrests, incidents reported by Bolingbrook police.

June 6

Stanley Brown, 24, 6444 W. Dorchester Dr., Chicago, was charged with battery and retail theft from Foremost Liquors, 419 N. Bolingbrook Dr., after fighting with store employee and taking a can of pop, police said.
 
Two trailers were stolen from the 1000 block of Windham Parkway, according to police.

June 7

Officers responded to Kay Jewelers, 641 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft.  Two subjects entered the store at 1:09 p.m. and asked to see several pieces of jewelry, distracted the employee and concealed a ring and pair of earrings, then exited the store, according to police.

Jose Villapando, 31, 1132 Quail Run, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, obstructing justice and an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Ln. and Quadrangle Dr., according to police.

Gregory Kouba, 48, 212 Cherry Ct., was charged with two counts of DUI and a traffic signal violation, following a traffic stop at Hywood Ln. and Juniper Ln. at 12:59 a.m., police said.


June 8

A 2003 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was taken from a parking lot on the 100 block of E. South Frontage Rd., police said.

Marco Villafuerte, 27, 333 Round Hill Ct., was charged with traffic signal violation and two counts of DUI, following a traffic stop at Rt. 53 and Briarcliff Rd. at 3:51 a.m., police said.
 
Someone stole cash from a bedroom at a home in the 200 block of Honeysuckle Lane, police said.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Old Chicago Drive for the report of theft of motor vehicle parts, police said. Two vehicles parked in the lot were missing passenger side fairings, for a total loss of $700, police said.

A 2000 Peterbilt trailer was stolen from the 100 block of E. South Frontage Road, police said.

Officers were called to the 606 building of Preston Drive for the report of a fire; someone had set a metal garbage can on fire in the laundry area, according to police.

Michael Wrenn, 36, 4721 Little Denise Ct., Valrico, Florida, was charged with DUI and failure to signal, following a traffic stop at Rockhurst Rd. and Bolingbrook Dr. at 3:19 a.m., police said.
