Bolingbrook Blotter: Red Bull Thieves Strike Meijer; Arrests for DUI, Stealing Flat-Screen TVs

Arrests, incidents reported by Bolingbrook police.

April 9

Police responded to Meijer, 755 Boughton Rd., for a report of a retail theft after an unknown person entered the store, placed several cases of Red Bull in a cart and exited the store, police said. Total loss was estimated at $456.

April 10

Another Red Bull theft occurred at Meijer, 755 Boughton Rd., when someone entered the store, took several cases of the energy drink, and left. This time, the estimated loss was $376, police said.

A 2000 Stoughton trailer was stolen from the 2500 block of 107th Street, police said.

Jose Aguilar, 26, of the 0-100 block of Fernwood, was arrested and charged with resisting a peace officer, police said.

Someone stole a pair of pants and a jacket from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Remington Boulevard, police said.

Tory Dean, 22, of the 2200 block of Berkeley, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. at Boughton Road and Pinecrest and charged with DUI and failure to signal, police said.

April 12

Someone stole a purse from the front seat of an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of North Bolingbrook Drive, police said.

Bryant Horton, 30, of the 11000 block of Champlain Lane, Chicago, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at Lily Cache Lane and Fernwood Drive and charged with improper lane use, speeding and DUI, police said.

April 13

Lydell Smith, 25, of the 100 block of Poplar Lane, Justice, was arrested and charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing three flat-screen TVs from Walmart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive.

A 2004 Ford Express was stolen from the 100 block of South Bolingbrook Drive, according to police.

Veodies Isom, 33, of the 3300 block of 83rd Street, Woodridge, was arrested at 2:55 a.m. in the 500 block of Briarcliff and charged with DUI, driving too fast for conditions, improper lane use and no insurance, police said.
