Bolingbrook Blotter: Robbers Beat Victim, Steal Phone and Cash

Feb. 2

Kimberly Wedow, 22, 1225 Iroquois Dr., Batavia, was charged with possession drug equipment, possession of a lookalike controlled substance and improper turn at intersection following a traffic stop at Boughton Rd. & Preston Dr. at 12:47 a.m., police said.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Farm Gate Ln. for the report of a burglary. A garage door was forced open and two space heaters were taken from the residence between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2, according to police.

Feb. 1

Officers were called to Enclave Cir. for the report of a robbery. The victim was reportedly struck several items about the face and body before unknown subjects took cell phone and U.S. currency between 1 and 1:30 a.m., police said.

Officers responded to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd. for the report of a retail theft. Two unknown subjects placed a bottle of liquor in a backpack and exited the store without paying at 9:19 p.m., police said. Loss valued at $34. 

Officers were called to Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a retail theft. Two unknown subjects placed blue tooth speakers in their jackets and exited the store without paying at 2:19 p.m., police said. Loss valued at $260.
