Bolingbrook Blotter: Stolen License Plates, Forgery Arrest, Hit and Run

Arrests, incidents reported by Bolingbrook police.

April 16

Officers responded to a parking lot in the 100 block of East Old Chicago for a report of theft of motor vehicle parts after a catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle, police said.

April 24

Daniel Valencia, 22, of 626 Mountain Dr., Aurora, was charged with equipment violation, possession of drug equipment and possession of controlled substance, following a traffic stop at 12:45 p.m. at Hassert Boulevard and Naperville Road, according to police.

Ryan Drozdik, 19, of 104 Rocklyn Court, was charged with criminal trespass to property and improper backing, following a traffic stop at 10:47 p.m. in Lot K of Beaconridge Drive, police said.

April 25 

Someone cut and bent the fence at ComEd, 1040 E. Janes Ave., police said.

April 26

A video camera was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Lake Shore Drive, resulting in a loss of $850, police said.

Someone stole the front and rear license plates from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Seneca Lane, according to police.

Monique Hawkins, 37, of 6054 Normal Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested at Best Buy, 315 N. Weber Road, and charged with forgery and using a fraudulent driver's license, police said.

Brenda Michaels, 19, of 115 Enclave Circle, was arrested during a traffic stop at 10:56 p.m. and charged with hit and run and failure to notify of damage, police said.

Vanessa Taylor, 20, of 19227 Kirkham Drive, Lockport, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. at Walmart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., and charged with retail theft, according to police.
