Bolingbrook Blotter: Teen Charged with Stealing Cash From Macy's

Arrests, incidents reported by Bolingbrook police.

April 3

Jonathan Mendez, 19, of the 200 block of Picardy Lane, was arrested at 5:01 a.m. in the 1000 block of Towner Drive and charged with burglary to motor vehicle, police said.

Someone stole 12 tires from a trailer in the 100 block of Joliet Road, police said.

Datrell Brookins, 19, of the 100 block of Pepperwood Drive, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. in the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive and charged with two counts of DUI, hit and run and failure to notify a vehicle owner of damage, police said.

April 4

Police responded to a report of graffiti found in the 1800 block of Apple Valley Drive, according to police.

Someone stole a 1993 Wabash trailer from a parking lot in the 500 block of North Frontage Road, police said.

Jose Trujillo, 25, of the 200 block of Hywood Lane, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. in the 500 block of Remington Boulevard, police said.
 

April 5

Someone damaged the tailgate on a vehicle parked on Brittany Court, police said.

Police responded to a report of theft at Dunkin Donuts, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive, where someone allegedly stole an envelope of cash containing $400, according to police.

Ariel Davis, 19, of the 12000 block of Central Avenue, Alsip, was arrested and charged with theft after allegedly stealing $1,030 in cash from registers at Macy's, 645 Boughton Rd., police said.

Someone stole a portable grill worth $400 from a backyard in the 400 block of Salem Square, according to police.

Amy Shemberger, 30, of the 500 block of Fourth Street, Lockport, was arrested at 5:56 p.m. in the 400 block of Rockhurst and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment and failure to signal, according to police.
