Bolingbrook Blotter: Thief Robs Juvenile of Cell Phone

Arrests, incidents reported by Bolingbrook police.

Antwon Rainey, 20, of the 2500 block of Waterbury Drive, Woodridge, was arrested by Bolingbrook police at around 6:15 p.m. and charged with domestic battery after police were called to the 300 block of Ashbury Drive, according to police reports.

Paul Ryburn, 23, of the 300 block of Walnut Circle, was arrested by Bolingbrook police and charged with resisting a peace officer, police said.

Police responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of Boughton Road after a juvenile was approached by an unknown subject, who asked to borrow a cell phone. The suspect grabbed the phone and ran off with it before getting into a vehicle and driving away, police said. The estimated value of the phone is $500.

Daniel Smalley, 23, of the the 200 block of Seabury; and Sergio Gloria, 19, of the 500 block of Falconridge Way, were arrested by Bolingbrook police at 8:24 p.m. and charged with battery in the 200 block of Seabury Road, police said.

Ricardo Ruvalcaba, 23, of the 100 block of Mississippi Avenue in Joliet, was arrested by Bolingbrook police at 2:39 p.m. during a traffic stop at Lily Cache Lane and Fernwood Drive and charged with driving on a suspended license, failure to signal and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said.

Nicholas Surges, 33, of the 200 block of Monterrey Drive, was arrested by Bolingbrook police at 12:25 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Bolingbrook Drive and charged with DUI, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to police.

Someone entered an open garage door in the 1900 block of Norwich Lane, entered the residence and took a camera and camcorder sometime between Aug. 19 and Aug. 25. The loss is estimated at $620, police said.
