Bolingbrook Blotter: Vandals Hit Johansen Farms; Stores Report Theft, Battery

Arrests, incidents reported by Bolingbrook police.

June 2

Police were called to CVS Pharmacy, 1725 W. Boughton Road, after someone allegedly took cosmetics from the store and left without paying, police said.

June 4

Someone broke numerous plant/flower pots overnight at Johansen Farms, 710 W. Boughton Road, police said. The loss/damage was estimated at $10,000.

Three ladders, worth an estimated $1,000, were stolen from a storage area in the 1200 block of Winding Way, police said.

Someone stole numerous electronic items worth $1,200 from Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road.

June 5


Christopher Herskind, 20, and Andrew Herskind, 19, both of the 100 block of Olympic Drive, were arrested and charged with retail theft at Meijer, 775 E. Boughton Rd.

For the second day in a row, unknown offenders broke numerous plant/flower pots at Johansen Farms, 710 W. Boughton Road. This time the damage was estimated at $1,000, police said.

Someone stole cash from the register at Speedway, 447 N. Bolingbrook Drive, resulting in a loss of $3,620, police said.

Someone spray painted a mailbox and vehicle with graffiti in the 2100 block of Muirfield Trail, police said.

Police responded to a report of battery at a business in the 1000 block of Weber Road, where unknown subjects reportedly yelled profanity, threw candy at victims and knocked over a display rack, police said.
