Bolingbrook Blotter: Thief Steals Diamond Rings; Man Punches Victim in the Head

June 24

Guadalupe Calderon, 25, of 2025 Prentiss Dr., Downers Grove, was charged with traffic signal violation, improper lane usage, no insurance and DUI, following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Delaware Drive, police said.

June 26

Servando Mendoza, 21, of 325 Kirkwood Cir., was charged with retail theft and battery on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive, police said.

Devonte Roberson, 18, of 259 Saratoga Ln., Romeoville, was charged with theft and resisting a peace officer, after allegedly taking a bicycle from the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive, police said.
 
Officers responded to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subject entered the store at 9:30 p.m., placed several power drill sets and DVD players in a cart and exited the store without paying, police said, estimating the loss at $770.

Arieonna Merrell, 20, of 911 Davison Ave., Joliet, was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment by telephone, following an incident on the 200 block of Algonquin Court, according to police.

Officers responded to CVS Pharmacy, 1725 W. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. An unknown subject entered the store at 6:30 p.m., took 13 boxes of Crest Whitestrips and exited without paying, police said. The loss was estimated at $575.      


June 27

Jazmin Maghett, 23, of 1183 Patrick Henry Pkwy., was charged with theft after allegedly taking U.S. currency from the cash register at Macy’s 645 E. Boughton Rd., between June 25 and 27, police said. The loss was estimated at $1,072

Officers were called to Helzberg Diamonds, 643 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a theft. A subject asked to look at two diamond rings, grabbed the rings and exited the store to a waiting vehicle at 3:03 p.m., police said. The loss is valued at $11,000. 

Karon McCoy, 49, of 244 Karen Cir., was charged with DUI following a traffic stop at Route 53 and  Rockhurst Road, police said.

Michael Grimm, 25, of 220 Bunker Hill, was charged with battery after police said he punched a victim in the head several times on the 400 block of Gibraltar Drive.
