Bolingbrook Man Arrested for Armed Robbery

Bolingbrook police said three men robbed a 20-year-old victim walking near the intersection of Briarcliff Road and Denver Drive.

One of the three men cops say held up a 20-year-old at gunpoint last month is in jail. The other two are on the loose, police said.

Bolingbrook police said the victim’s father, upon learning of the incident, brought in his child to report the crime, which happened July 13.

The victim was allegedly robbed at gunpoint and robbed of money by three offenders while walking near the intersection of Briarcliff Road and Denver Drive, side road near the intersection of Briarcliff and Schmidt Road.

From the information received from the victim, Bolingbrook detectives were able to place charges on Quentin Tyrone Jones, 19, of the 600 block of Preston Drive.

Jones is being charged with armed robbery.

The incident remains under investigation to look for the other two offenders.
