Bolingbrook Man Busted After Punches Are Thrown, Officer is Struck: Police

Francisco Tequimila is facing a number of charges, including aggravated battery to a peace officer, following an incident that occurred Friday morning in Bolingbrook.

A 28-year-old Bolingbrook man who allegedly punched his roommate and later scuffled with a police officer was arrested on charges of domestic battery, aggravated battery to a peace officer—a felony—and resisting a peace officer, Lt. Mike Rompa said.

Rompa said Francisco Tequimila, 28, of 7Q Fernwood Drive, Bolingbrook, was taken into custody after police responded to a call for help at 1:45 a.m. Friday at his apartment dwelling.

"Officers were able to determine Francisco (Tequimila) punched his roommate in the face several times after an argument," Rompa said.

And that was just the beginning.

"During booking procedures, Francisco (Tequimila) pushed the officer and then struck him in the chest," Rompa said. "He was secured, eventually processed and then transported to (the Will County Adult Detention Facility)."

Tequimila was scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.
