Police Blotter: $1,500 Theft from Car

Slide damaged at park, cash stolen from home and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of Aug. 21-24.

Aug. 24 

Burglary to motor vehicle, $1,500 in goods stolen

Officers were called to the 100 block of Thackeray Drive for the report of burglary to motor vehicle, said. Two cars were entered and numerous blu-ray DVD’s, a laptop and a digital camera were stolen overnight. The loss was valued at $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Michael Ventrello, 27, of 1098 Bothwell Ln., was arrested at 9:44 p.m. and charged with DUI following a traffic stop on the 1100 block of Collingwood Lane, police said.

Aug. 23 

Slide damaged at park 

A slide was damaged at a park on the 600 block of Kingsbrooke Crossing between Aug. 12 to Aug. 23, police said. 

Aug. 22 

Rear window open, cash stolen

Officers were called to the 100 block of N. Schmidt Road for the report of a residential burglary, police said. Homeowners returned home to find a rear window open and cash stolen between 5 and 7:30 p.m., police said.

Disorderly conduct 

Giovanni Vergara, 30, of 420 Greentree Ln., Ramon Lopez, 49, 253 Jameson Ct. and Rodolfo Picaso, 33, 109 Jamestown Ln., were all arrested at 8:55 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct on the 100 block of Jamestown Lane, police said.   

Obstructing justice 

Shonta Ward, 30, of 324 Arrowhead Ln., was arrested at 9 p.m. and charged with obstructing justice in Lot E of Beaconridge Drive, police said.

In-state warrant

Christopher Mocny, 31, of 562 Leslie Ln., was arrested at 11:37 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop at Rockhurst Road and Route 53, police said. 

In-state warrant 

David Pawlowski, 22, of 1468 Columbus Dr., was arrested at 3:32 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road, police said. 

Aug. 21 

Purse stolen from garage

A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in a garage on the 300 block of Springmist Court between Aug. 20 and 21, police said. The loss was valued at $96.
