Police: $4,150 Theft from Home

Car thefts, theft from Wal-Mart and more in the Bolingbrook police of Aug. 24-25.

Aug. 25  

$4,150 theft from home 

A ring and cash were stolen from a residence on the 200 block of Yellowpine Drive, said. The loss was valued at $4,150.

Purse stolen from car in garage

A purse was stolen from a car parked in a garage on the 100 block of Lee Lane, police said. The witness saw an unknown subject enter the garage and take the purse, then run at 2:37 p.m.

Mob action, aggravated battery 

Chazilli Jay, 26, of 784 Rebecca Ln., and Peter Bell, 34, of 300 Redwing Dr., were both arrested at 9:40 p.m. and charged with mob action and aggravated battery after a call to the 300 block of Pinto Drive for a disturbance, police said.

Driving under the influence

Juan Ramirez, 52, of 2 Catalpa Ct., was arrested at 11:42 p.m. and charged with DUI and failure to signal following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Weber Road, police said. 

Aug. 24 

Car theft 

Officers were called to the 100 block of S. Pinecrest Road for the report of a burglary to motor vehicle, police said. A laptop, printer, radio and iPod were taken from the vehicle sometime overnight. 

Disorderly conduct

Gary Taylor Jr., 28, of 403 Kingston Ave. in Romeoville, was arrested at 10:35 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer on the 500 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive following a traffic stop, police said. 

Theft from Wal-Mart

Officers responded to Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of retail theft, police said. The suspect took several packs of cards and left the store without paying at 4:46 p.m. The loss was valued at $50.

Bike, propane tank stolen from backyard  

A 24” women’s bike and a propane tank were stolen from the backyard of a residence on the 400 block of Yorkshire Square between 9 p.m. and midnight, police said. The loss was valued at $150. 

Driving under the influence 

Tameka Scott, 29, of 181 W. Robinhood Way, was arrested at 1:05 a.m. and charged with traffic sign violation, improper lane usage, driver and passenger safety belts and DUI following a traffic stop, police said.

Anthony Brown, 50, of 480 Rockhurst Rd., was arrested at 2:15 a.m. and charged with speeding, improper lane usage and DUI following a traffic stop on the 100 block of Falconridge Way, police said.
