Police Blotter: $18,000 Bucket Stolen

Attempted burglary at Bolingbrook business, front door found ajar and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter.

Oct. 3 

Excavating bucket stolen 

A 72” excavating bucket was stolen from a job site at 119th St and Naperville/Plainfield Road between Sept. 21 and Oct. 3, police said. The loss was valued at $18,000.

Attempted burglary at Bolingbrook business

Officers were dispatched to a business on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive for the report of an attempted burglary, police said. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Criminal trespass to property 

Ibrahima Jagne, 48, of 701 Arbury Ct. in Romeoville, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass to property on the 200 block of Cedarwood Drive, police said. 

Driving under the influence 

Donald Young, 25, of 6421 W 82nd St. in Burbank, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. and charged with DUI following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Lindsey Lane, police said. 

In-state warrant, hit and run 

Larry Watts, 33, of 259 N. Ashbury Ave., was arrested at 8:42 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, no valid driver’s license and two counts of hit and run on the 200 block of Meadowbrook Drive, police said. 

Oct. 2 

Window pushed in, front door found ajar 

A residence on the 500 block of Dubois Lane had a window pushed in and the front door was found ajar, police said. Nothing appeared to have been taken

Graffiti 

Graffiti was found spraypainted on a bridge on the 500 block of Lily Cache Lane between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2, police said. 

License plate stolen 

An Indiana license plate was stolen from a car on the 200 block of Old Chicago Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., police said. 

Oct. 1

In-state warrant 

Andre Powell, 34, of 308 Arbor Ct., was arrested at 1:21 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Lane and Bolingbrook Drive, police said.
