Police Blotter: Thefts from Unlocked Cars

Burglary, theft and marijuana in the July 19 and 26 Bolingbrook police reports.

 July 26 

Theft from unlocked car 

A cell phone charger, sunglasses and cash totalling more than $60 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 200 block of South Palmer Drive after 7:00 p.m., said.

GPS, laser measuring device stolen from unlocked car

Two GPS’s and a laser measuring device, items valued more than $250, were stolen sometime after 9 p.m. from an unlocked car on the 200 block of South Palmer Drive, police said.

Burglary

A 17-year-old was arrested at 2:15 a.m. and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle and violation of curfew for an incident that occurred on the 300 block of South Bolingbrook Drive, police said. 

Equipment violation, possession of marijuana 

Rachel Franzese, 21, of 11740 Woodside Court, Burr Ridge, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. and charged with failure to yield at an intersection, equipment violation, driving without insurance and possession of cannabis following a traffic stop on Briarcliff Road, police said.

Theft from Kohl's 

Officers were called to Kohl’s, 1138 W Boughton Road, at 8:15 p.m. for reports of a theft that had just occurred and the offender had just fled the store, police said. A bracelet valued more than $30 was taken by the unknown female offender, who was caught on store surveillance cameras.

Mountain bike stolen

A mountain bike was stolen from the garage on the 1000 block of Bothwell Court, police said. The loss was valued at $160.

July 19 

Theft from Meijer 

Michael Allen III, 20, 1657 Boulder Ridge Dr., was charged with retail theft at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., at 5:11 p.m., police said.
