Police Blotter: $3,100 Theft from Sports Authority

Theft from Sports Authority
Officers responded to Sports Authority, 257 N. Weber Rd., for the report of a retail theft, police said. Subjects entered the store at 5 p.m. placed numerous items in bags, then left the store without paying for the merchandise. The loss was valued at $3,100.

Residential burglary
Officers were called to the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive for the report of a residential burglary, police said. A coffee table, cabinets, HP tablet, TV and DVD players were stolen from the apartment between Sept. 1 and Oct. 5. The loss was valued at more than $400.

Driving under the influence
Johntez Ward, 40, of 422 Greentree Ln., was arrested at 2:17 a.m. and charged with DUI, improper turn and a moving violation following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Briarcliff Road, police said.
Oct. 4
Residential burglary
Officers were called to the 200 block of E. Brookwood Lane for the report of a residential burglary, police said. A 7-speed bicycle was stolen from the garage between Sept. 27 and Oct. 1.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Aristocrat Drive for the report of a residential burglary, police said. It was later discovered several pieces of jewelry were missing.
Wallet stolen from locker
A wallet was stolen from a secured locked on the 500 block of Janes Avenue between 8:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. The loss was valued at $265.
Burglary
George Thorns, 41, 233 N. Pinecrest Rd., was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with burglary, theft, and in-state warrant after a previous incident to a business on the 500 block of W. Boughton Road, police said.
Car theft
A purse, digital camera and debit cards were stolen from a car left unlocked and running in front of a business on the 100 block of Barbers Corner at 6:21 a.m., police said.
