Police Blotter: $6,000 Theft from Flatbed Trailer

Disorderly conduct, car theft and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of Sept. 4.

Sept. 4 

Theft from flatbed trailer 

Officers were called to the 600 block of Crossroads Parkway for the report of a theft, Bolingbrook police said. Unknown offenders stole several steel rods, a Reemer, and miscellaneous hand tools from a flatbed trailer between Sept. 1 and 4. The loss was valued at $6,000.

Disorderly conduct 

Luis DeLa Cruz, 53, of 8108 Waterbury Dr. was arrested at midnight and charged with disorderly conduct at Janes Avenue and Cambridge Way, police said.

Criminal trespass 

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Jennifer Lane for the report of criminal trespass, police said. A homeowner heard a noise and saw an unknown person attempt to enter the residence through a rear door at 1:10 a.m. and then run off. 

Criminal damage to property

Officers were called to Lot B of Fernwood Drive for the report of criminal damage to property, police said. A landscaping brick was thrown threw a living room window at 4:45 p.m. 

Car stolen from parking lot 

A 2004 Dodge Ram was stolen from the parking lot on Kildeer Drive between Sept. 3 and 4, police said. 

HD Radio stolen from unlocked car 

A portable HD radio was stolen from an unsecured car parked on the 200 block of Roman Circle sometime overnight, police said. The loss was valued at $200. 

Theft from Meijer 

Officers were called to Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a theft, police said. A wallet was stolen from a purse in a shopping cart while the victim was shopping. 

Driving under the influence 

Humberto Sifuentes, 30, 108 Balmoral Dr., was arrested at 1:25 a.m. and charged with DUI, no valid driver’s license, no insurance and speeding following a traffic stop at Briarcliff Road and Recreation Drive, police said.
