Police Blotter: 16-Year-Old Fights with Store Employees, Shoplifts

Driving under the influence, criminal defacement to property and more in the Bolingbrook police blotter of Sept. 12-14.

Sept. 14 

Theft from Jewel/Osco, battery 

A 16-year-old was arrested at 7:42 p.m. and charged with retail theft and battery after fighting with store employees and shoplifting at Jewel/Osco, 1200 W. Boughton Rd., police said.

Driving under the influence 

Paris Govan, 18, of 1425 Comanche Dr., was arrested at 10:09 p.m. and charged with driver and passenger safety belts, illegal transportation of alcohol, obstructed windshield, two counts of DUI, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and fleeing peace officer following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Edgehill Drive, police said.

Driving under the influence 

George Nkulenu, 55, of 22539 Arquilla Dr., Richton Park, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. and charged with DUI and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Remington Boulevard, police said. 

Permitting unauthorized person to drive 

A 17-year-old was arrested at 10:09 p.m. and charged with driver safely belt, illegal transportation of alcohol, obstructed windshield and permitting an unauthorized person to drive following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Edgehill Drive, police said.  

In-state warrant 

Raymundo Gonzalez, 49, of 440 Healy Ave. in Romeoville, was arrested at 1:55 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, driving on a suspended license and no insurance following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Drive and Lee Lane, police said. 

Sept. 13 

Theft from Wal-Mart 

Erick Mazariegos, 35, of 259 Malibu Dr., was arrested at 3:09 p.m. and charged with retail theft and an in-state warrant following a call to Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., police said. 

In-state warrants

David Watts, 48, of 300 N. Charles Ave. in Naperville, was arrested at 4:36 p.m. and charged with two in-state warrants on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road, police said. 

In-state warrant

Anthony Barrera, 29, of 430 N. First St. in Wilmington, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, police said. 

In-state warrant 

Jerell Johnson, 22, of 135 Somerset Ln., was arrested at 11:11 p.m. and charged with two in-state warrants, police said. 

Sept. 12 

Criminal defacement to property

A 13-year-old was arrested at 5:55 p.m. and charged with criminal defacement to property on the 200 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive, police said. 

Trespass to property 

A 16-year-old was arrested at 10:15 a.m. and charged with trespass to property on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road, police said. 

In-state warrant 

Joe Faulkner, 22, of 338 Kirkwood Cir., was arrested at 2:15 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, police said.
