Possession of marijuana
John Burgos, 29, of 1416 W. 127th St. in Riverside, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, delivery of marijuana, speeding and following too closely following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Lane and Schmidt Road, said.
Victim stuck with object, beer stolen
Officers responded to Lot V of Fernwood for the report of a robbery at 10:09 p.m., police said. The victim was walking home and was approached by unknown subject who struck the victim with an unknown object about the face and body then ran off with the victim’s case of beer, police said.
Backpack stolen from car
A backpack containing a laptop and scanner were stolen from the backseat of the car between Aug. 15 and 16, police said, in the 100 block of Remington Boulevard.
Unlawful use of weapon
A 17-year-old was arrested at 2:58 p.m. and charged with unlawful use of weapon after a call to the 200 block of W. Lindsey Lane for a fight, police said.
Speeding, driving under the influence
Marcus Gaines, 27, of 1556 Firethorn Dr., was arrested at 2:49 a.m. and charged with speeding, failure to signal and DUI following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Whitewater Drive, police said.
Corey Wright, 24, of 383 Evening Star Ct., was arrested at 11:20 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 200 block of Lindsey Lane, police said.
Money stolen from office
Officers were called to a business on the 300 block of Remington Boulevard for the report of a theft, police said. Cash in the amount of $110 was stolen from an office between noon and 11:30 p.m.
Tools stolen from garage
Someone entered and stole numerous tools from a detached garage on the 500 block of Redwood Road between Aug. 6 and 7, police said. The loss was valued at $250.
