Bolingbrook Police Blotter: Thefts from Homes, BB Gunshots

Battery
Jennifer Powell, 34, 211 Washington St., Dwight, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. and charged with battery on the 500 block of N. Pinecrest Road after punching the victim, police said.

Dec. 5
Car window shattered with BB gun

A car window was shattered with a BB gun on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive between Dec. 4 and 5, police said.
Residential burglary
Officers responded to the 400 block of Assembly Drive for the report of a residential burglary, police said. The homeowner discovered the front and rear doors open with two IBM laptops, PS3 game system, PSP and several games were taken.
Driving under the influence
Rose Ungaro, 21, 300 Burlington Ave., Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:26 a.m. and charged with following too closely, no insurance and DUI following a traffic stop on the 100 block of E. Boughton Road, police said.
In-state warrant
Geraldine Smith, 55, 505 Preston Dr., was arrested at 2:49 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 500 block of Hampshire Drive, police said.
Dec. 4
Illegal transportation of alcohol
Jose Dorantes-Gonzales, 41, 302 D Woodcreek Dr., was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with illegal U turn, illegal transportation of alcohol and no valid driver’s license following a traffic stop on the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive, police said.
Battery
Michael Herrera, 25, 131 Thackeray Dr., was arrested and charged with battery, following a previous incident on 11/02 on the 300 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive, police said.
Graffiti
Graffiti was found spraypainted on several residences and signs in the area of Bedford Road, Hadleigh Road and N. Ashbury Avenue at 1:45 a.m., police said.
Residential burglary
Officers responded to the 500 block of Hampshire Lane for the report of a residential burglary, police said. The homeowner discovered the front door kicked in and two tablet computers were found in the front yard at 3:55 p.m.
